2220 Summit Dr, Burlingame-Former Elementary School for sale
0 Comments Published by chrismolnar January 13th, 2010 in Burlingame, Buyer Tips, Neighborhoods. by chrismolnarThe property at 2220 Summit Dr, Burlingame, CA 94010 is offered for $ 7,500,000. This building was used as a church/school facility. Most of the activity had been seen when meetings were held here on weekends. However this used to be Burlingame’s Hoover Elementary School. Located on 6.26 acres in a residental neighborhood, this property is currently being considered by the Burlingame Elementary School District for the use of future offices or an additional elementary school. I would image that property owners in this quiet neighborhood have an opinion about that. The Burlingame planning department most likely will require a traffic study. Much needed space will be added to Lincoln and McKinley Elementary Schools in Burlingame . As reported by the SF Examiner on November 22, 2009, these schools will each get an additional building with six to eight classrooms to address the growing enrollment needs. Can you qualify for the first time home buyer’s tax credit to purchase a Burlingame Home?
0 Comments Published by chrismolnar November 18th, 2009 in Burlingame, Buyer Tips. by chrismolnarMost Burlingame houses for sale do not qualify for the $ 8,000 Tax Credit. The credit has been extended to buyers who are in contract by April 30, 2010 and is available to anyone who is a first time homebuyer or has not owned a primary residence for the past 3 years. We are delighted that the income level requirements have been raised to $ 125,000 for individuals and $ 225,00 for joint filers. What most people do not realize, is that the purchase price can not exceed $ 800,000. There are only 3 single family Burlingame homes for sale that are priced under $ 800,000. They are located at: 101 Victoria, 1443 California Drive and 812 Peninsula Ave. However if you are in the market for a condo, you have more choices. 18 condos are offered for under $ 800,000, all are one or two bedroom units.

Bay Bridge closure no problem for Burlingame homeowners to get to work in San Francisco
0 Comments Published by chrismolnar October 28th, 2009 in Burlingame, Buyer Tips, Easton Addition, Neighborhoods. by chrismolnarWaking up to the news that the Bay Bridge was closed this morning, I started thinking of the many ways one could get to San Francisco from Burlingame without crossing any bridges. Bart connects in Millbrae and if you live close to Adeline Drive, you can take the shuttle to the station and don’t need a car at all. Caltrains stops in Burlingame downtown and in Millbrae. If you need to drive and want city streets the option is to take El Camino Real north which will connect with Mission St in San Francisco. Like the more scenic route, take Skyline Blvd all the way to San Francisco. Of course it is easy to drive via Highway 101 or 280 however you might sit in traffic with all those commuters who just came over the San Mateo Bridge from the East Bay and have been on the road for hours.
